In this thread, you will find information what Xanadu is about, and what we expect from you, if you are interested in applying.
Xanadu is an international network of many hundreds of gamers that span a number of large and small internet games from CS over Planetarion to EVE, EQ2 and Vanguard. We strive to play our best and play fair, but more importantly to create a community within which members can feel and take a part. Our facilities range from TeamSpeak servers, IRC servers and specialised public and private web pages.
General
In EverQuest II we are a raiding guild on the Runnyeye Server, our goal is not only to progress together through the game's content as fast as possible, but also endeavour to earn the respect of those outside our guild and keep our reputation in the highest possible standing. We play fair and encourage others to do so as well. Xanadu is emphasising the term 'Guild' in expecting members to play for it and not just for themselves - success requires the effort of everyone, therefore playing and acting as a team is our outstanding characteristic.
Raids start 19:30 CET Monday-Friday and 17:00 CET on Sundays and end before 24:00 CET (the sooner content is cleared the sooner raids end) We require at least 75% attendance during these hours.
Loot
- Loot that comes from official raids will be distributed through a point system (XRP - Xanadu Raid Points). You earn points by attending those raids and you can bid points on items you want to have, the bidding will take place in the in game guild chat.
- The amount of points you can spend per item is determined by: (current points) X (Raid attendance in the last 30 days).
- If noone present wants that item it goes to the guild bank, and its up to the bank officer to start a bid on the boards on that item.
- You are not allowed to bid on loot just to make cash out of it. You HAVE to use it for yourself!
Becoming Full Member of Xanadu
- People start their trial time when their character joins the guild in game.
- Applicants earn half the points full members do, but they cannot bid on an item unless no full member wants it.
- To become a full member of the Xanadu Guild you need to pass in following crucial points:
- High in game activity
- High activity on our boards
- Dedication to your character
- Good general knowledge of the game
- The will to be part of a team
- Desire to be the best
- After the 4 week trial period and passing the points mentioned above, full members will vote for or against the applicant. In order to pass the trial you need 75% positive votes. Every full member also has a veto option, which however has to be reasonably explained
All these rules might be adjusted to the guild's current needs at any time.

Requirements for your Character:
Currently we require you to be lvl 90.
We expect applicants to have at least 225 AAs.
We expect most of your items to be adorned (all items preferred).
We require you to have most spells at master quality (all others should be expert).
We expect you to have your Mythical Epic (and/or SF quest equivalent) and the equipment necessary to raid all content in Sentinel's Fate.
What we expect from you
At least 75% attendance on our raids (means available at least 5 days a week from 19:30 CET to midnight, and that is in the long run NOT just while you're on vacation or unemployed!)
