Thread Starter

With the new Everquest II expansion Rise of Kunark finally released Xanadians finally had to face some new content. You know grinding 10 adventure/crafting levels 40 AA points and having to make up for a whole new Tier of spells and equipment can really keep people busy for quite a while. Apart from the features of this expansion and the questionable move from SoE to base the whole T8 XP grinding on mainly Solo quests (which i personally enjoyed, but others really hated it), the grind started pretty much fast and furiously and Vaanir made it to be the first player to get to level 80 Adventurer on RE Server (and one of the first level 80 Crafter too iirc :P), so big grats to him!

In less than a week after release we had already quite a bunch of players at level 80 so on Monday we decided it was time to start some raiding (we had already killed the x2 mobs in Kunzar Jungle but they were really too easy even if they conned orange the first time we killed them). Too bad that T1 raids (The Executioner Throne Room, The Tomb of Thuuga and Protector's Realm) really didn't meet our expectations, as they were cleared even before our usual raid times ended. Not a big deal, some easy loot for us and some distraction for those who really don't like solo questing Stick out Tongue 2 - :P

Keep reading if you want to know more about these instances and their loots!

Actually by the time i'm writing this we've already cleared T1 instances twice and T2 instances will be set on farm status very soon (hopefully today), it's just a pity that they are so easy as some of the scripts in these could have made encounters really interesting (but currently some heroic encounters are possibly harder than these frown - :( ).

As a quick recap we started our *adventure* in the Throne Room located Deep in Karnor's Castle, some epic drolvargs were there waiting for us along with their captain: Pawbuster. But the guy really has a very poor aim with his big hammer and was killed before he could be of any harm to our force.

After this little warm up we made our way to a mysterious cave located in Fens which turned out to be the Tomb of Thuuga. Drachnids and Skeletons are the natives of this instance and Boss's script is really funny, too bad that the risk of a wipe once again is lower than in heroic instances frown - :( (for screenshot references see the first screenshot i posted here)

To finish up our evening we moved to Sebilis where we fought against the skeletons and opponent raiders (you'll see what i mean when/if you go there) and sweeped the floor with their corpses up to the final boss of the istance: a big bad golem! Well big maybe, not so bad tho as once again he was a totally pushover and just served to ding a Guild Level and make us gain some easy money and loots (forgot to take any screenshot but u missed nothing amusing :D).

Loots overall weren't bad, posting here a not so polished screen (see Red Items), hopefully Loot Database should be updated soon aswell Stick out Tongue 2 - :P

So all in all RoK has started, T8 raiding has started aswell as the rush for server-firsts and epic quests, so it should be some guaranteed fun for some time smile - :)

Closing here this news since my instance group is ready (*aherm*), leaving you with some funny quotes as usual (not many since lately we've been good penguins!)

Grinding too much without sleeping can result in some serious brain stress which afflicts, among other things, typing skills
