Subject: Item Database |
|
Two and a half years ago Xanadu introduced their EQ2 Raid Loot database, what was originally designed as one of the more minor tools we offered took off in a big way. Now with an average of 22k+ unique visitors per month looking at over 3.3 million loot pictures it has become the main tool on the site. When Vanguard was introduced Darkevil was asked to produce a new version of the Loot Database which would be more flexible and allow for more involvement from the community as a whole rather than relying on a few admin's to maintain.
Due to various reasons (mainly no VG raids) the Vanguard version of the new improved Item Database has not taken off as well as it could have, but as it does include some major improvements to the way that the tool functions in general it has been decided to copy it over for EverQuest II.
The Item Database shown Under the EverQuest II tab should now contain the entire contents of the original database (which is still available at the moment) It has added features such as the ability to report items which are outdated as well as directly add your own items to the database. A guide to how to use the Database tools will be added at a later date but it is fairly similar to the way the Vanguard Items are added which you can find here - Clicky Link
We are constantly aiming to improve the functionality of the tools we are offering to the community of the games which we play in so if you have any ideas please feel free to contact us on the various game boards or contact me directly if you wish FunGuy at Xanadu dash Community dot Com
Good Luck with all your raiding
