I want to thank everybody who is supporting xanadu by clicking on google ads. Today I've recieved my first payment from google. Currently the reward is enough to pay 1/3 of our monthly server costs. The rest is financed by donaters, which I also want to express my thanks. 
Edit: As stated later in this thread: This is not an invitation to do massive clicking on the google ads. Simply click on it, if you think there is something usefull for you, otherwise you will cause more harm than do good.

you know i was going to say  that you should put an option by default off, the ad's for xan members, and those who wish to support could turn them on, when they are even logged in
just a thought if everyone would click on the links when the funds are low etc... that might help out at times of need

I've just read through the rules of google adsense again and originally i thought forums were not allowed to list the ads to members, but that isn't the case.
Anyway I may not say "Go click those links and support me!"... so perhabs a checkbox in preferences is a good idea...

I had done some digging on the forums and found lots of instances where people weren't being paid because of asking people to click or "excessive" clicking, If you see something which interests you then click, don't click just for the sake of clicking.

Exactly... the problem about this is, when google thinks, we do create unneeded clicks, then they will block my whole account and all money made the last months is gone...

Mind it doesn't help that most of the ads up when I'm on the public interface checkking things that the only adverts coming up are relating to buying/selling ingame items which is regarded as illegal to both games we currently play (except if you are doing it via sony on an exchange enabled server)
